Background
Lindsey Davis is an entrepreneur, advocate, writer and naturalist based in Salt Lake City, Utah. She received her degree from the University of California, San Diego in International Development with an emphasis in Environmental Studies and Political Science. Her thesis work contributed to the discussion of genetically modified organisms, biodiversity and the global food supply. She went on to design an implement place-based food systems internationally and across the west.
Lindsey’s background is in strategic development in the for and non-profit sector with a diverse array of constituents including ranchers, farmers, underserved communities, native tribes, education institutions and businesses. She also founded a company called Wylder. For five years she served as Wylder’s CEO, running the only online women’s specific retailer in the outdoor industry, and the first female-founded benefit corporation in the state of Utah. During this time she graduated from the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program.
Upon completion, she worked as the Senior Vice President of the Outdoor Recreation Roundtable, the nation’s leading coalition of outdoor recreation trade associations and businesses.
Current Work
Lindsey is the Director of Conservation and Advocacy at SITKA Gear. She serves on the board of directors for the Outdoor Alliance and The Conservation Alliance, and is a founding board member of the Utah Wildlife Federation. She is the author of Modern Huntsman’s column, ‘A Guide To the Modern Wild,’ and a member of the Utah Office of Outdoor Recreation’s Advisory Committee. She is also a brand ambassador for Mystery Ranch, SITKA Gear, and Swarovski Optik, Moultrie Mobile, and is a volunteer citizen scientist.
